UNRELATED (arduino nano 33 ble 4S to much voltage???) #236

I know this is unrelated but didn't know where else to ask.
I built this headtracker and it was working great until it suddenly sparked and smoked and died.
I think my 4s battery was to powerfull as there was no short circuit.
Has anyone else had this issue? I have another arduino 33 ble rev 2 laying arround but if this is the issue I dont want to kill that one aswell.
online I read the max voltage is 21 volts so 16.8 should be easy right
