Describe the feature you'd like

When adding a new item by providing a URL, either in the desktop browser or with the share feature on mobile, if that URL goes to a feed, that feed should be added to the subscription list for the current user.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Hoarder users

It would be much easier to subscribe to a new feed. The alternative would be to always go to the browser, login, go to the user settings, and add the feed there. This could be done in a single step with this new feature.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

As mentioned before, it can be done with 5 steps rather than 1.

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request
