Is the C23+ extended emulator still valid?

Hi all, thank you for developing this very useful tool. I tried using the C23+_extended emulator, but I got errors that the NN architecture in the saved weight file is different from that implemented in the code. Before digging into the full traceback and errors, I wanted to inquire whether the latest version of the code still works with C23+_extended, or if I should be using a different version/emulator. My primary goal is to predict P1D up to k ~ 0.1 s/km, for which I gathered that C23+_extended is the best model.

Hi @vedantchandra! The C23+_extended emulator is now deprecated, it has been superseded by the CH24_mpgcen_gpr emulator. This emulator works accurately down to k ~ 0.06 s/km, but the results are noisier on smaller scales. We are working on a new set of higher resolution simulations that will allow us to train accurate emulators down to smaller scales. I am going to leave open this issue until then.
