Couple of minor graph/plot suggestions:

  1. The black on red labels are hard to see #108
  2. For both plots, it would be nice to have the option to aggregate the bar plots by quarter, and also by year #106
  3. For the Regional Metrics, plot the met and wave messages independently (lower priority) #107

I'm not too familiar with Plotly to know what's possible.

@muhd360 Thank you for your interest. It looks like there may be some confusion about what you are looking to contribute to. If you are responding to this issue in a effort to contribute to IOOS' Google Summer of Code (GSoC), please hold off until we know more information about our project status.

If IOOS is accepted this year, we will update the GSoC organization page to point to the appropriate place for our project ideas. This issue is not related to GSoC at this time.
