What is being requested?
Building on documentation for the core variables (#57), document ancillary (or "fringe") variables which may optionally be included in the profile and/or trajectory templates depending on tag manufacturer. Work with TetraTech to standardize this list of optional, ancillary variables for the templates.

What is the current status quo (i.e., what happens if this does not get done)?
We are trying to develop manufacturer agnostic profile and trajectory templates. This will help create a data pathway for the extra ancillary variables captured by some tag types.

Ancillary variables are documented in a standardized format like the core ones in a profile template here.
