Version 1.2 is not compatible with PHP 5.3

The 1.2 release uses the short array syntax in a number of locations, but the composer.json file still indicates that PHP 5.3 is supported.

Will update that when I get a chance. 5.3 is way old school now. I have no intentions of supporting it.
