First of all. Thanks for a very good project. But there is a little issue.
If for various situations, the wifi stored (with stored credentials) are not available the system correctly go to Captive Portal and set in Access point mode.
This is correct if i would change the wifi or the wifi is no more available, but what happens if the wifi signal is only disappeared for only 1 minutes or (if the provider reboot my wifi router for upgrade or other many situations)...?
The only solutions is to power cycle the mkr1010 so the library retry to connect to access point with stored credentials.
A great improvement may be that when in Captive Portal if nothing happens (no one enter and connect to Portal Wifi) after for example 10 minutes the system retry automatically to reconnect to stored wifi... So this can resolve temporary wifi issue automatically without user intervention. What you think of this?

Maybe in the captive portal you could also follow the approach of having a button which is titled somehow like "try connecting with saved credentials". So you could manually force this mode again and don't have to wait for time outs.
You could even only show this button, when credentials where loaded / saved successfully in the past.
