We're building up this page iteratively since 2.493 parts of this have been available behind an experimental flag, (enable it under experiments in your user profile).

Since 2.498 the details card has been available

Open questions:

• Will users be able to configure what goes on this page?
• Will uses be able to rearrange whats on the page?
• Should custom cards be able to be added on this page or something like tabs added as an extension points?

Since the current build summary is an non-configurable mess we definitely need a configuration on user basis (Order, Visibility, Size). Also plugins must be allowed to provide widgets as well. It makes sense that core provides a base widget that is used for plugins, otherwise we get the same inconsistent thing as now.

We should spend some time on how this can be configured by users. Like this has been done by e.g. Apple on IOS devices (and now on the desktop as well): first of all, they provided a fixed grid (tiles) and a user configuration of this grid. Users can change the size of the widgets (in terms of tiles), order of widgets, visibility of widgets.

Should we comment on the new build page here, or as issues in Jenkins Jira?

E.g., the new layout is broken if there are too many summary items:

The summary should fill the gap to the bottom and there is empty space on the right hand side of the details. Maybe we should switch on this page to the latest version of the Bootstrap grid. The Bootstrap team did a terrific job to arrange widgets in a grid.

I don't see Build Artifacts on the new Build Page, even on the Legacy card/widgets
Was it hidden in some other place ?

Where do we report plugins that also needs refactor to use new cards/widgets?

In new UI changing build description strange (it doesn't fit the new UI)
It feels, more "bumpy" less smooth
Maybe better solution would be to have dialog for that ?
