Pass a url to a pdf instead of uploading

I have plenty of pdfs already on dropbox, and it's a pain to have to re-upload over a slow connection. Would it be possible to submit a url to add a document to pdfy?

Seems like a good idea. Need to think carefully about how to fit it into the UI, though.

Looks OK, but what happens when you click the 'url' box – is it a form element itself, or does it create some form of popup? My preference would be for a clearer signal that you can paste a url directly, and also more delineation for where you should drag the pdf... more like this:
