Regex & Rewrite

Hello,

I use an application named quip.
I want to open the application (rather than my browser) when clicking on a link to a quip document.
That would require both matching the URL with a regex, but also rewrite it.

For instance, the link:
https://lioncita.quip.com/kNw0A9NKXMd3/My-first-doc
should be rewritten as:
quip://kNw0A9NKXMd3

Is this doable?
