Use saving with AJAX for template files

Users have long been accustomed to editing the CSS file directly in the Joomla backend.

The fact that the page reloads upon saving, and you're back at the beginning of the file, is annoying.

Of course, you can always copy the contents of the CSS file, edit it, and upload it.

It would be nice if, after saving, you could stay in the same place you were working.

Is there a way to do this, perhaps with JavaScript?

We can write a code to do saving with AJAX.

I guess it can be moved to feature request: "Use saving with AJAX for template files"

This is exactly the kind of user workflow the ajaxified backend project aims to improve.
However, I have not explored the template editing workflow yet, so I can't say whether it can be be supported directly with the current infrastructure. It's definitely an interesting use case for me to look upon, and feedback like this is really valuable in helping identify workflows where the project can have the biggest impact.
