The license is listed as MIT in the README.md. This is a great license to use, however, unfortunately many institutions use an automated license checker for external repos that looks for a file called "LICENSE.txt" or "LICENSE.md" in the top-level of repo. If the MIT license can be included in such a file (https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/managing-your-repositorys-settings-and-features/customizing-your-repository/licensing-a-repository#determining-the-location-of-your-license) it would greatly speed wide adoption of the repo.
