I cannot reproduce. Please try an again in restricted mode. I suspect this is due to a plugin or snippet.

How do I enable the "hide markdown syntax" without the Style Settings plugin though?
I disabled all plugins except Style Settings and Minimal Theme Settings, but the problem still occurs.
