Will langfuse chart continue to use minio(maintenance mode)

Hello,

As minio has entered in maintenance mode and they no longer provide docker images. Will langfuse continue to use minio in its helm chart?

MinIO is still included in the Langfuse Helm chart as the default S3-compatible storage for in-cluster and local deployments. The chart uses the Bitnami MinIO image from the legacy Bitnami registry, which is no longer updated but remains available for now. There are no official plans or statements from the maintainers to remove or replace MinIO in the Helm chart due to its maintenance mode or Docker image availability. However, you can disable MinIO deployment (s3.deploy: false) and use any external S3-compatible storage provider, such as AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, or others, which is recommended for production environments. The maintainers are monitoring upstream changes and are open to community contributions for alternative storage solutions, but for now, MinIO remains supported in the chart as of December 2025 (source, source, source).

Thank you for the question. We're currently reviewing alternatives (both for Bitnami charts in general), and specifically for MinIO. We haven't made a final decision yet and will provide an update once we came to a conclusion.

We are also looking into the chart and how to properly configure it. The minio-specific options were a bit confusing at first, but configuring S3 endpoint+key+secret seems to do the trick. Maybe worth a doc update to explicitly call out minio specific config values which are not relevant outside that?
As for alternatives, in case its not on your radar - Garage has been absolutely great for us. Zero percent vibecoded (storage infra is not the place for this) and extremely stable.

We're currently exploring a bigger rewrite of the chart to new subcomponents in #347 and are testing https://github.com/seaweedfs/seaweedfs in there.
