Multiple containers with same image

When I have multiple containers with same image (es. multiple database container all with same marinade image, or multiple web site all on same apache image) they get all updated, so the first actually update the image and the others only waste time.
It is possibile to aggregate these containers and update the image once?

You're correct, only the first one actually pulls an update and the rest are just iterated through.
While I agree it's a waste of time - it's very little time and the only thing done is docker checking if it already has the latest hash locally (which it has).

And rebuilding it to track if each image(:tag) is already pulled previously might not be worth the gain.
I'll still consider it, I'm in the middle of rebuilding some logic around the pulling of updates and will have a look at what would be required to implement this too.
