LoRaMon not writing packets

have LoRaMon configured to monitor meshtastic longfast (loramon.py COM5 --freq 906875000 --bw 250000 --sf 11 --cr 5 -W c:\temp\capture) opens radio, sets everything up, can see packets flow on tbeam screen, but nothing gets written to either console or capture directory
