Looking for a way to have a message sent upon movement and possibly also when movement stops.
A possible way to implement this feature (easiest) would be to add a toggle in the smart motion settings. The end result could be having an automated message sent to a specific channel every time the smart motion (position) is triggered.
What would be even more useful (but somewhat more complex) would be the ability to configure a node which has smart motion enabled to send messages upon movement start and also movement end. It could be accomplished by having an option to automatically have a node send a message when it is moved beyond the smart motion threshold and when no smart motion has been detected for a given value of seconds. This would have the added bonus of avoiding a message every time the smart motion activation.
Open to other ways for this to work. Initially, I thought about using canned message but that actually is probably not the right place.
If anyone has any other suggestions on how to setup such a notification (without a computer monitoring via serial port), with current firmware I would be interested in your thoughts. Maybe I have overlooked a simple approach which already would provide such functionality.
Finally, a big thank you to the Meshtastic team and community!
