Problem testing headless rendering

Hello everyone, and thanks in advance.

I just installed Metadrive for the first time, and everything seems to have gone smoothly. However, when I ran the script verify_headless_installation.py, I encountered a problem. If I use the 'main' camera, it only creates the image ..._from_observation.png but not ..._from_buffer.png. But if I use the RGB and depth cameras, it creates both images (although in the case of depth, one is black and the other white).

Any ideas on what might be happening?

The _from_observation.png is the one returned from env.step. So if it looks good, then it should be fine. Buffer accessing is more like a debugging feature. But it sounds like the depth image from observation doesn't show anything. In that case, there might be something wrong.

Could you provide more information on this? Such as the sensor output looks strange. If it is just the depth camera, it requires OpenGL> 4.2 to use that feature, because it needs OpenGL to support the compute shader.

It's running on a Windows 11 PC with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU and the latest drivers installed. If I'm not mistaken, it supports OpenGL 4.6.

They all look good except the depth buffer, but as I said, it is a debugging feature. So it is totally fine. For the depth observation, the closer the object, the darker the color is. If you find it too light to tell the object edges/shapes, you can simply apply a log to the depth image.
