Microsoft PowerToys version

0.87.1

Installation method

GitHub

Running as admin

Yes

Area(s) with issue?

Workspaces

Steps to reproduce

Workspaces even version 87.1 cannot tell the difference between the Tor Browser and Firefox if both are installed. It used to be able to do so before somewhere version 84.

It thinks that if both are installed, when it tries to launch Firefox, it launches Tor instead. Latest version of both browsers are installed.

✔️ Expected Behavior

When you pick Firefox, it should launch Firefox and not the Tor browser.

❌ Actual Behavior

It launches the Tor browser instead of the Firefox browser.

Hi @rhollenbeck700 ! We need a bit more information to really debug this issue. Can you add a "Report Bug" zip file here? You right click on our system tray icon and just go to report bug. Then drag the zipfile from your desktop onto the GitHub comment box in this issue. Thanks!

Hi @rhollenbeck700, I've attempted to reproduce your issue by creating and launching a workspace with Firefox and Tor browsers. However, both browsers were identified and launched without any issues. Could you provide more details on how you reproduced the issue?
The report doesn't have a workspace involving either of those browsers. It may help if you create a new report after reproducing the issue. Thanks!

In the Workspaces I added Firefox back in, you can see 5 screen boxes, yet it lists only 4 programs.Image

And sorry the program is called Axis Camera Station Client

I slightly followed the directions here to manually add the program that isn't being captured. It worked

#34699

"application": "AXIS Camera Station",
"application-path": "C:\Program Files\Axis Communications\AXIS Camera Station\Client Latest\AcsClient.exe",
"title": "AXIS",

I think there is a problem here. I had the same issue as the OP and for me too when I edited the workspace and tried it again, the issue resolved itself... kind of. The difference that I can see is that when I removed the tor browser entries, then did a launch and edit, I opened firefox developer edition and this time actually had tabs open when I saved the workspace. That might be the difference here because the first time it was just on the landing page without any tabs.

I said "kind of" when I say resolved because even though it successfully launches firefox now, the tabs I had running when I saved the workspace do not open. I don't know if Workspaces can read the tabs and open those or save the state completely but that would be nice.
