Terminal freezes intermittently

Steps to reproduce

Seemingly since the last update, Terminal will freeze intermittently, randomly, for about 1 minute at a time. There does not seem to be a specific action triggering the freeze, but input will just stop, Windows will report "not responding", and after about a minute or two, Terminal resumes like normal.

I know this is a terribly vague report, so if you have any pointers to how I could obtain some logs, please let me know!

Oh dang, that's not good.

If you can get Task Manager up while this is happening, go to the Details pane and right-click WindowsTerminal.exe, then select Create Dump.... Send it to one of us securely (and please know that it will be a memory snapshot containing any output in any tab in any terminal window on your machine hosted by that process, FWIW.)

I have shared with you two dump files (via "SURF Filesender", check your email) - one called WindowsTerminal-RandomFreeze.DMP containing the dump during a randomly-occurring freeze, and a second one WindowsTerminal-CloseFreeze.DMP that occurs reliably and consistently when middle-mouse clicking a terminal tab to close it. At least the latter seems to only happen on a WSL tab - normal Powershell and SSH tabs seem to work just fine.

Oh, lord. This is an unintended consequence of #20019, which will be fixed in #20094, which is combining poorly with the session restoration feature.

TL;DR: when we try to save your session (periodically and on shutdown), we try to evaluate whether the last working directory for the session is truly accessible. Yours happens to be on a network path 😖.
