VScode without internet connection

Hi,
I using vscode without internet connection. I install extensions using vsix download.
I have installed https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ms-python.python
I get a message stating: Python extension loading. The problem is that it never disappears.
Does anyone know a solution?

Can you check what is in the Output panel under the Python channel?

Hi, it turned out the extension loading could finish but I had to select the right interpreter and not the default system python installation. I also needed to be more patient and wait some minutes.
