Keep an eye on upstream code

A lot of the code in this repo is just copied from mkdocstrings-python. We should keep an eye on https://github.com/mkdocstrings/python/blob/main/src/mkdocstrings_handlers/python/handler.py for improvements, and eventually move towards better code re-use, better separation of concerns, etc.
