Several users have complained about spurious swipe events being recognised when they did not want to swipe. Some users disabled all swipe gestures on the home screen to avoid accidentally triggering this, and opening the camera or phone, or whatever.

The threshold for swipe gestures may be different for people and also for different devices, so a configurable threshold may be needed.
