Geolocate the map

We should consider if we want to target the map a bit more so that a user can see the badges that relate to their community. Using the ip address or another method to estimate the users location would help us to relate this an individual users experience.

Conversely, we should keep the map as is - if the goal is really to show to expansiveness of the movement. In that case, I might couple the map with hyperlocal tweets or Bloomberg report style updates.

Ooh, being able to zero in on a region has long been a desire. It would be fantastic to see a certain area of the country (world) to get the big picture and then zero in on your own slice of it. 🛃
