Before submitting a bug report

  • I updated to the latest version of Multi-Account Container and tested if I can reproduce the issue
  • I searched for existing reports to see if it hasn't already been reported

Step to reproduce

I made a macro to download images with an extension that relies on context menu items to be in a specific order and I tested it on Windows although not thoroughly and it seemed to work well. I switched to my main os Fedora 41 KDE to try it out as well. And for the first image the macro worked perfectly but when I tried it the second time the Ublock extension popped up. When I checked the context menu I saw that the order was altered by the addition of Multi-Account Container context menu item. So I restarted the browser and tried again and it resulted in the same behavior. So for some reason when the browser first starts the Multi-Account Container context menu item is not loaded but after some point (it seems to load after a link is opened) it appears in the context menu.

Actual behavior

Start the browser with the expectation that the Multi-Account Container context menu will appear immediately but it doesn't appear until a link is opened.

Expected behavior

Start the browser, right-click and you should see the context menu from the beginning.

Additional informations

For my use case an option to hide the context menu item or removing it altogether would work as well because I usually handle anything container related from the tabs' context menus. I searched for related bugs and came across #1992 where the op mentions an old bug in Firefox that can cause an extension to not function as expected in the initial window of Firefox so that might be related but I couldn't find the bug that was referred to in that report so I don't know if it's related.
