I had 26.1 usememos web and I don't know what version of android moememos. It worked yesterday.

Today it is as the subject indicates: Can sync from web to android. Cannot sync from android to web.

I see the android version is 2.0.2 which just came out yesterday. I did not upgrade the app, maybe it did it in an autoupgrade. I am not sure.

Note. I am using cloudflare tunnel to serve the web part.

I upped to 26.2 web.
I signed out and in again in android.

Still same issue.

Thoughts?

The issue still remains, but I did a workaround for now.

I went back to apk 2.0.1 and web 26.1.

I have android pixel 7 pro - the latest Android it can have.

I could not manage to get moememos apk v 2.0.1 from f-droid app.

I found that going to f-droid.org i could download the apk in chrome and it let me open with the installer and install it.

I pinned my Docker Compose to 26.1.

It seems to be working now.

I hope we can resolve the real issue.

I used gpt and it suggested to make settings changes in cloudflare. I did change the settings I could find. I don't think those helped. Not sure.

Moe Memos 2.0.1 doesn't automatically sync with Memos 0.26.2 as we didn't know whether 0.26.2 had breaking changes when 2.0.1 was released, but it's safe to manually tap the sync button and force sync for once, then it should automatically sync with 0.26.2 after.

Moe Memos 2.0.2 supports Memos 0.26.2 and it's available on GitHub and should be available on F-Droid in a few days: https://github.com/mudkipme/MoeMemosAndroid/releases/tag/2.0.2

I see that I didn't include the text of the error message in my original post above.

With 26.2 and 2.0.2, I get an error message on moe memos.

Sync failed.
A box pops up saying:
Sync failed with partial failures.

Each note created on android has a red cloud icon with a line through it.
The same icon appears in the top right corner of the screen.

Can you see any error log in the Memos container? (and Mortis if you are using it)

I will set up a second use memos, instance and another phone with version 2.0.2 of the Android app and send full logs and screenshots.

I did look at the docker logs when I press sync on the phone and I did not see anything in the log. I will do it all again to verify.

When I created the Ggg note on android at 19:28 hours, I didn't see anything in the Docker log.

If I create a note on the web app, it appears on android apk.

backend is 26.2, apk is 2.0.2.
this phone is pixel 5 running ungoogled lineage.
I had the same result on pixel 7 pro running official unmodified android that it came with and auto updates to.
I run the web app through cloudflare tunnel.

I now have a second instance with 26.1 backend with 2.0.1 apk on the pixel 7 - it works well without this issue.

It's weird and looks like the create memo request didn't reach the server.

The only difference between 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 is the app passed the local createTime in the request body. However I can't reproduce the same issue with both Memos 0.26.1 and 0.26.2.

I wonder whether it might be blocked by some rule of Cloudflare, I'll set up an Cloudflare tunnel based instance to debug this.

first I thought it was an access_token issue, i try recreate token, sync error not changed.

I recall it working fine yesterday. After redeploying the Docker memos today to migrate the default SQLite database to MySQL, this sync error started occurring.

I am using mysql now. I switched from sqlite to mysql the first day I started using it. So I stopped using sqlite and started fresh with mysql (mariadb 12). The setup is detailed in my docker files attached here.
