Text line spacing has changed in MuseScore 4.7 compared to MuseScore 4.6. The images below show the same score opened in both versions. In MuseScore 4.7, the Chinese text has noticeably increased line height whilst the English text has reduced line height. This differs from the rendering in MuseScore 4.6 and affects the consistency of text layout.

I don't have the fonts referenced in that score, but I can confirm a discrepancy in line heights using whatever font is being susbtitute, and it does seem to be the same font for both. If I change to Edwin, the discrepancy goes away for the composer text. But the spacing remains for other fonts for the Chinese lyrics.

Thanks for confirming. Hopefully this can be addressed in a future update so that users of fonts other than Edwin won’t have to modify their existing scores or templates.

This is caused by this PR in particular commit 5e563aa, so it is expected.

We've found at our expenses that managing font metrics is a very messy job. We rely on 3rd party code for it (Freetype and Qt) and small differences between different providers are unfortunately common, and it's not the first time we've had them. Luckily, now that the tech debt is cleared, we don't expect to be making any more changes for long time.
