Bug description

Hi together,

I'm administrator vor about 100 Macs which runs Nextcloud Client. After each Update which is deployed via MDM Jamf Pro, the client won't launch after update is successfully installed.

Can this behavior changed, so that the Clients opens after installation/update?

  1. Update Nextcloud Client via MDM
  2. Nextcloud Client won't launch

Expected behavior

  1. Update Nextcloud Client via MDM
  2. Nextcloud Client launches again

Is this bug present after an update or on a fresh install?

Updated from a minor version (ex. 3.4.2 to 3.4.4)

Are you using the Nextcloud Server Encryption module?

Encryption is Enabled

Are you using an external user-backend?

  • Default internal user-backend
  • LDAP/ Active Directory
  • SSO - SAML
  • Other

@idominiki we do not support auto start on macOS after install
we used to provide this but this would be very complicated to do it correctly with our current installer
so I am closing this request for now has there is only a very low chance we would to it in the coming months
