Is it a good idea to use Inter-Step Buffer Service with NATS for your own messages?

I am using the NATS Source for my own messages in my Numaflow pipeline. In my case, the NATS Server is an additional installation/container, and everything works as expected. However, is it possible to use the existing ISB Service with NATS (where the pipeline buffers reside) for my own purposes, or is that a bad idea?

Currently, I have two NATS servers running, which might be unnecessary. Does anyone have any information on this issue? Are there any pros and cons?

You can use it, but you need to hack a little bit to get the credential to publish data to it.
