Description:
Currently, there is no straightforward way to deploy QField Cloud in a Kubernetes (K8s) cluster using a Helm chart. I’ve started developing a Helm chart for this purpose, but I’d like to understand if this is something that would be useful for the community and if it would be considered for inclusion in this repository.
Questions:
1. Would a Helm chart be a welcomed addition? Is there an interest from the maintainers and the community in having a Helm chart officially supported?
2. Where should it be hosted? Should a Helm chart be part of this repository, or would it be better suited as a separate repository (e.g., qfieldcloud-helm)?
3. Are there any existing efforts? Is there already work in progress or an existing recommended way to deploy QField Cloud in Kubernetes that I may have overlooked?
Proposed Next Steps:
• If maintainers agree that a Helm chart would be beneficial, I can submit an initial version as a pull request (or to a separate repo if preferred).
• If there is a recommended approach or design considerations, I’d be happy to align with those.
Would love to hear thoughts from the maintainers and contributors!
