What is your take on releasing version 1.0.0 of this module? I believe it would strengthen peoples' take on opentracing's API stability. Also, it would fit the specification's version more closely.

I don't have strong objections, but there is this issue #59, as well as the Typescript proposal on gitter.

Both things could be done post 1.0.0 in a variety of backwards-compatible ways. I don't believe this should stop us from a 1.0.0 release.

Also regarding TypeScript, I'd see it as one out of many languages that target (read: compile to) JavaScript. As such I think it shouldn't be treated specially (just as you mentioned on Gitter).
