New localization request! Italian (IT)

Good evening, my name is SimerOtt and I've decided to make myself an account on GitHub just to comment on this project.
I would love to help with the localization project for my mother language, Italian, and I had some friends that said to be interested in working on a localization as a passion project.
Before starting to work on anything, I wanted to ask if that would be possible with the tools proposed and if you endorse our project, so that we can possibly start to work towards such endeavor. Thanks a lot for the attention!

Hi there! It's always nice to see more people working on the translation! We're very happy to see that our mod is enabling other translations.
However, it's actually not advised to just start from our basemod for new languages, mainly because of these reasons:

• Chinese are petty distinct from other languages because we have a hell lot of HanZi characters
• The basemod (mainly for Chinese) was kept slim due to the preferences of our developer, and has a set of hot-update mechanics (based on our servers) that you might not need.

And here's why you should actually start from Russian team's work:

• The Russian team has done better than us in terms of supporting translators of other languages. They used to start from our basemod and did their own modifications back then, but now, they are trying their best to help others.
• The Russian team has their own modified version of our base mod, which has more helpful function that aims to help translators using other languages. (however, these features hardly helps us Chinese translators so its code is not incorporated into our mod, because Chinese is very special.)
• The Russian team, and translators of other languages there, are experienced translators in smaller groups. I believe their workflow and experience should help you get started much faster.
• They're using discord.

Sadly for me I cannot really read russian at all, so I'm incurring in some problems entering the server, as it is requiring me to select some things in order to enter. If you believe I may get in by simply translating some stuff in the pre-entering selection of topics and similar, and there would be no problem in writing in english, I would then join in a heartbeat! I just want to make sure to be acceptable inside the group and not be an outsider without a way to comprehend other people. Sorry for the troubles and thanks for the quick response!

Update: Joined by using chatgpt to translate russian for myself and found the localization channels. Can't really seem to find the files, but in these next days I will be taking a look at all the material and, perhaps, get started! Hoping for this to be the start of a cool project!

Yea the server is Russian (mainly used by the Russian team to collect feedback) but there's an English discussion channel for foreign translators, I just saw you joined in.
Erlkönig Няет (knightey) might be able to help you if you can't get started.

And I have a few suggestions:

1. You can remove the Patcher in our project.It just available with our server and mod.
2. You need to choose a favorite font and transform it into TMP format, you can get some information in Our font repo.

if you see some HTTP request(The probability is to send a request to the xxx.zeroasso.top) in our code…
It is probably bound to our server.
Some of them can replace with Github, you can ask Russian Translation Group for some suggestion or help.
