I apologize for the late response. I would like to provide some info regarding your query:

General Points

  • Note that the free space planner is an under-developed feature, and the design requirements / specifications are not clearly set
  • As of now, the free space planner is not intended to be used in the manner that you presented above (with only small overlapping area), it is expected to have a lanelet along the parking lot
  • It is necessary for the map to have lanelets other wise mission planner will fail to find a route (even when operating with free space)
