What is up with Node.js processes not getting cleaned up?

It seems like every software written with Node.js is written in the most awful way that when you run them, they start a Node.js process that never gets killed. As a result I need to kill them manually from the Windows Task Manager. This sucks.

Hi! This is pretty much a misunderstood/misuse. Node.js has tons of tests, all of them get finished with 0 problems.

Consider adding a graceful shutdown or reading your code a bit deeper. Also, take a look to your environment, some products/apps/LSPs, etc spawns Node.js processes in background.

As this is not a Node.js core issue. I'm closing this.
