Provide simpler maps

Hello,

The map is hard to read with all those cafés and restaurants. I wish there were a simpler map such as Shortbread on osm.org.

I for one would gladly pay for it if the reason they are there is for a commercial reason.

What is your use case? Why do you need a clean map without POIs?

Yes, I think it would be nice to have a map with only the public transport icons.

Why would anyone use Organic Maps fro public transport when Google Maps has timetables, real-time bus/tram location etc.? I mean, OM is great but GM is beyond reach for traffic an public transport.

Oranic Maps will have real-time public transport information too.

Why would anyone use Organic Maps? Because Organic Maps doesn't track its users and doesn't sell ads/information about users to third parties. And it's fast and user-friendly.

I personnally don't think OM should go that way (showing timetables, etc.), but métro/train stations are useful on a map as references.

But the point of my original post is that businesses etc. make the map uselessly complicated, and should be put into a user-activable extra layer like the others that already exist (see screenshot). #KISS
