Easy line of sight distance measurement

Hi,
the feature I'm missing most is an easy way to measure line of sight distance directly on map without diving into sub-dialog.
Something like the two-finter tip long hold in mapy.cz, which is aIMHO the best and most intuitive scheme I've used so far.

1. You can measure distance from you to any object by selecting it (or by tapping anywhere on the map).
2. You can measure any distance by using "line route" tool: select a starting or finishing point, press Route To or Route From, then select an icon with a line and connected points at the top right.

Hi Alex(@biodranik),
I'm aware of this way to get the distance. But it's quite cumbersome compared to the "double-finger long hold" scheme as offered by mapy.cz. So I'm not asking for line of sight distance in general - it's there.
I'm suggesting a very simple, low-effort short-cut for it. I'm not insisting on the map.cz approach as a 1:1 copy, but something equivalent in terms of accessability with a single multi-finger click/hold without diving thru levels of menu options would be great.

Hi Alex,
I finally found the open issue #1867 - exactly what I'm looking for.
My primary reason asking for it: I found myself using it heavily in map.cz when exploring map areas planing trips. You look at an the map, ask yourself about the distance between two places or POI,s and it's less than a second to read the number. So extremely useful and probaly my most used tool at all; before any navigation etc.
Let's close this issue and refer to #1867.
