I notice this project has become slightly stale and has not had a release recently, and is holding onto a Docker dependency that will never be fixed (upgrading docker is the right path, and removing the +incompatible tag as well likely)

I use gnomock -- love the name -- but we need to keep up on security issues, so may have to switch to something else.

Could you use some assistance in at least keeping the dependencies up to date and without security issues? If so, I'm happy to help.

Yes, updates are now much less frequent, and it would be great if you could keep contributing.
The routine maintenance requires security patches and dependency updates, including go major versions.
Preset maintenance means keeping up with newer images - adding them to the test suite, and deprecating older image versions (from tests and readme).
Any contributions in these areas are very welcome!

P.S. Last time I made changes was before LLMs got this far, so I assume most of what I wrote above could be automated using agentic skills, compatible with codex, claude code, copilot, and all the other tools. Do you think you could come up with these to make routine maintenance easier, and focus your energy (as long as you have it 😼 ) on more interesting stuff?
