Hi! It's not factually the issue. I'm seeking help to implement "VBIT2 can also optionally generate output an mpeg transport stream containing DVB-TXT for merging into a digital television stream." Any guidance for this feature? In general I need to be able to pack SRT or any other time based subs into the SPTS TS file with proper PID/PMT formation.

It's not trivial to do and I can't offer detailed support for muxing DVB streams, but running vbit2 with the --format ts --pid <nnnn> arguments will produce a DVB-TXT transport stream on stdout. You'll then have to mux it into the stream containing your television service and patch the PMT etc to add the specified pid (I have used TSDuck's tsp to achieve this with some success).

thank you for feedback. I guess as soon we're able to get dvb-txt ts we can handle muxing with tsp or our own stack of tools. I just cannot connect the dots at the moment as I have SRT and somehow need to map it line by line to teletext pages...

Injecting subtitles is a whole other problem entirely, which again vbit2 is technically capable of but doesn't do any of the file processing and scheduling etc for you.
