WebSockets are currently explicitly named in the protocol specification. It should be decided if they are here to stay. If so, concrete details on how they are meant to be used etc. should be documented.

WebSockets are definitely here to stay in p2. I am drafting WebSocket relevant information and plan to have that draft be integrated into the spec by the 21st.
