Hello,
Thank you for your speedy response.
I really want to like Positron, but I am having a hard time with it. For
example, I try to maximise my code window, I need to press Ctrl Alt P,
type in the magic phrase. Turns out the cursor was in the console, so
now I have maximised the console instead, and spend half an hour trying
to find the code window again. I frequently find myself typing into
areas the size of my phone, with my giant screen taken up my all sorts
of things that don't interest me at that moment. Data Science features
are all very well, but the whole thing is just too hard to use. I am
messing around with sliders the whole time to adjust panel sizes.
Thank you again,
Michel

near term, because we are focusing on data science features and
largely choosing to inherit and not change the UI choices of code-oss
upstream. However, we can use this post to track interest in this kind
of feature. If you want to try out some existing tools for maximizing
various panes, try out the commands like this:
* _View: Maximize Editor Group and Hide Side Bars_
* _View: Toggle Maximized Secondary Side Bar_
* _View: Maximize Panel_

It would be great if you could maximise a pane (not sure that's the right technical term) by clicking on its header, as in Eclipse. For example, you click on the tab which shows the filename of the script you are working on, and then that takes up the whole screen. Double click again, and you are back to seeing everything. Same with the console, terminal, plots etc. That would be super useful.
