Beatmap background thumbnails are having 0.5px overly bright border that looks ugly on some cards

I've noticed it recently, however it makes me feel like it was there for a long time. If you look at beatmaps with very dimmed background, you'll see a very bright (yellow) border that isn't meant to be there. Because it's not really visible, I've upscaled my screenshot 5 times.

In case it plays some serious role, I use Waterfox 6.6.16.1 (About screen is on 2nd screenshot) and the screenshot presenting bug was taken from this browser.

I guess this is basically some kind of css border radius precision/rounding issue.

I found this question in stackoverflow that asking about similar issue about white corner when using css border radius.

So that issue isn't exclusive to osu-web? Then why I don't remember seeing it before?

Update: Maybe #12695 made me notice them, because previously placeholder was dark

I recall there was a way to avoid this but it didn't work in Safari or something (actually it was Chrome)

i assumed thumbnail is getting shown above placeholder, so can't it be hidden after beatmap thumbnail loads? or can't it be changed to much darker image, so this overly bright border will be seen?
