Translate the "Donate" page #712
Comments
Hi @Darrenhqf ! Since you volunteered for the Simplified Chinese translation, please feel free to get started or let me know if you have any questions on how to get started |
Thank you @ksen0:) I would love to contribute to this zh(Han) translation work. |
Hi @ksen0 , I have completed the translation, but when I tried to push my changes from my rep to the main, I encountered the following error: "You're not authorized to push to this branch." This is my first time contributing to this community, and I want to make sure I’m following the correct process. Could you please guide me on how to resolve this issue and successfully submit my PR? Thank you for your help:) |
Hi! Would it be helpful to translate this page to Serbian? Please let me know! Thank you ⭐ |
Hi, I would like to translate this page to Romanian if that would be helpful! Let me know if that works for you! Thanks :) |
Hi @ksen0! I would like to contribute by translating this page into Russian. Please let me know if you’re okay with that and if it's something you would be happy with! Looking forward to your response. |
Hi! @ksen0 I'd like to work on the Hindi translation of the "Donate" page which is only availaible in English as you can see. |
Thanks, @Darrenhqf! Good question, making the PR is great and you're all set for now! As soon as another p5.js contributor is able to review it, we can merge it in. This is the right procedure, thanks for checking! I see the new language suggestions and it seems to be the same folks as in the Code of Conduct issue, so please check out my answer there: #708 - because these are not languages currently supported by the website, I would suggest focusing your translation effort on the Code of Conduct. |
Hi @ksen0 ! I noticed that no one has been assigned to hindi translation yet. I'd love to work on translating the Donate page into Hindi. I've already contributed by translating the Code of Conduct so I have experience with the translation process. Could you please assign this to me? Looking forward to contributing |
Hi, I'd love to translate the page to the Nepali Language! |
Hi @HritvikBhatia, please go ahead, and feel free to @ the same reviewer who checked your translation before when you're done! |
Hi @suynep - for now we do not yet support Nepali language directly, but please stay tuned in the future if there's more interest in adding this language! In the next year, hope to improve the translation process enough that it would become much easier to contribute new languages. |
Hi, @ksen0 I’d love to help with the Korean translation of that page. If no one has started working on it yet, may I proceed. |
Hi @kangjung , great, thank you! Please go ahead. |
The "Donate" page is currently only available in English.
This was first reported in the core library repository: processing/p5.js-web-editor#3356
You can see that there is the English donate.mdx here: https://github.com/processing/p5.js-website/tree/main/src/content/text-detail/en
But this file is missing in each of the other supported language trees:
Please comment below if you'd like to work on one of these translations. To avoid duplicating work, please wait until a maintainer tags you and confirms you can work on it. Then, you can make a PR referencing this issue. To ensure translation quality, reviewers for these PRs would also be great to have so even if a language you're interested in working on is already in progress by someone else, please comment here anyway and a maintainer will tag you when those PRs are ready for review!
Don't hesitate to comment even if you're not sure where to start 🌼
