🐛 Describe the bug
The return type hint of the ITokenizer __call__ method returns a List[List[str]], but should instead return List[List[int]] (as per the documentation in the comment and the implementing sub-class below.

This error is mostly harmless in runtime (as type hints are generally ignored), but makes all sort of nonsense in Pyright (and possibly other IDE code checkers).
