Lintian complains about copyright marking

The copyright marking does not match lintian's expected format. It throws a copyright-without-copyright-notice warning.

We should define something like this to match the expected format (the verbatime "Copyright" and year-range, specifically):

"Copyright 2025-2026 Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries."

For that we need to confirm which date range to put there, regarding the creation of the upstream codebase.

Internal policy seems to not use any copyright years, which triggers this warning. On the other hand, we had the debate on debian-devel multiple times IIRC that bumping copyright years was useless. My guess is that this tag is buggy and should be accepting a copyright notice without copyright years, although I might be wrong.

What I would do for now while we have a discussion with upstream lintian and debian-devel is to ignore this tag with a comment saying that upstream does not provide copyright years.
