Hi,

I am currently using AWS Appconfig to store my feature flags for different profiles. I am using flagd binaries to connect to AppConfig agent and fetch flags stored in AppConfig.
Can i replace flagd binaries with Quarkus feature flags to fetch flags from AppConfig?

Hi, there is no integration for AWS Appconfig yet. It should be possible though. We could also try to integrate quarkus-flags with OpenFeature.

How, does quarkus feature flags can connect to some localhost API?
Because AWS AppConfig provides a localhost appconfig agent which we can run as a sidecar to connect to AWS AppConfig and fetch flags from there.

In quarkus-flags there's a FlagsProvider SPI that can be implemented to load flags from any source. Typically, we have an implementation that loads flags from JPA entities. But in this particular case, it might be easier to reuse the existing OpenFeature client. I have this on my TODO list.

FTR the initial OpenFeature support was merged, and it's available in the 1.0.0.Beta8 release.
