The JPEG compression artifacts are too extreme. Is there a way to generate and keep the uncompressed PNG file?
In addition, having control over the level of JPG compression would also help.

Ha, I just noticed compression artifacts in a couple output images with large dark areas yesterday and made a mental note to allow specifying the jpeg quality level. I'll try to get that added this weekend.

Allowing PNG output is a bit more work, so no promises on when it'll happen but I'll keep this open as a reminder.

User-specification of jpg compression level is in the latest update.
