Domain: unexpected error adding domain to subproject

This came in via a support request. The user noticed a browser error when trying to add a domain to a project. It turned out the project was a subproject already however. I would expect the domain creation to be blocked at the view or form validation level however, but the error was an unstyled API error and 401 status response stating "Action not allowed".
