Device: RealSense ID F455 (F450 module), S/N 12056228169699A2…
Current FW: OPFW 2.5.0.74
Target FW: 9.16.1.1 (F450_9.16.1.1_SKU1/SKU2_SIGNED.bin)
SDK/Tools: v3.6.1 (rsid-viewer / rsid-fw-update), Windows
Problem: Firmware update fails at the same point every time:
info [FwUpdateF45x] Init new module ACCNET
debug [FwUpdateF45x] WriteCmd "dlnew ACCNET sz=510124"
debug [FwUpdateF45x] waiting [dlnew ack] for 1000 millis..
debug [FwUpdateF45x] Stopping reader thread.. / Closing serial port
error [FwUpdateF45x] FwUpdaterComm::WaitForStr failed
Already ruled out (fails identically in all cases):
2 different PCs
Different USB cables, direct USB 2.0 ports, no hub
USB power management disabled, run as administrator, machine restarted
Both SKU1 and SKU2 signed bins
The device connects and streams as a camera fine; only the firmware flash fails at the ACCNET module write.
Question: Is a direct update from 2.5.0.74 → 9.16.1.1 unsupported? If so, please provide the intermediate stepping firmware sequence (and correct SKU) to reach 9.16.1.1 from this base version.
