removal/replacement of next as preview-server

Goals

dont have to download next (+ swc + sharp) when willing to preview an email

Background

i understand next is feature-full and provides a fast way to get things done, but as a consumer of a dev dependency, it's hard for me to understand this:

$ mkdir tmp
$ cd tmp
$ npm init -y
$ pnpm i @react-email/preview-server

Done in 14.5s using pnpm v10.13.1
$ du -sh node_modules
412M    node_modules

412Mb for a preview server for email seems a little big for such a tiny part of a feature.

Proposal

Would it be possible to have a preview-server "lite" which is just a simple http server (with hmr) which serve the templates by calling the render function?

I'm willing to help if that's ok.
