Manually pause/stop lazyloading for some amount of time.

I Have too many images on my screen. if the user scrolls to the bottom very quickly and then click on scroll to top. It scrolls to top very slowly/jerkily if the images are not loaded completely. i want to pause/stop loading of such images until the whole animation is completed and then again continue the flow.
